After discovering a couple of odd jobs that need to be fixed in your home, the first few questions asked will be “How much will it cost?”, “How long will this take?”, “How do I know which handyman to hire?”
Both questions are reasonable and valid. When you’re looking for a handyman in your price range, you’ll have to ask around. The problem is knowing how much or what you’ll be getting in the quote you’ll receive. To simplify, we break it down into three different sized jobs:
1. Small Jobs
What small sized jobs include:
- Replacing broken garbage disposal
- Repairing a leaky faucet
- Replacing a thermostat
- Hanging up pictures
All the smaller jobs will require the handyman to use simple hand tools that we can carry easily in your space. Typically, smaller jobs will take no more than 1 to 2 hours from start to completion.
2. Medium Jobs
What medium sized jobs include:
- Repairing drywall while using spackle
- Hanging up shelves
- Attaching supporting material if damage is large enough
- Replacement installation for a mailbox
Medium sized jobs that require heavier tools will involve more expertise. Repairing a drywall and/or supporting material can take between 2 to 4 hours to finish.
3. Large Jobs
What large sized jobs include:
- Wiring for a home theatre
- Installing heating and cooling systems
- Installing kitchen sink with all the elements
- Install interior door locks
Bigger jobs are where we handle more intricate situations such as repairing a patio deck or or installing a sink. These will take anywhere from 4 hours to a couple of days.
