We hired Odd Jobs to replace our bathtub and surrounding walls in an old house, which had multiple issues, and to add grab bars, new faucets, curtain rod. The quote was clear and upfront about costs and timing, as was the schedule. They were punctual, professional, cleaned up the worksite every day and disposed of trash. They were excellent communicators, doing what they said they would do. They also listened to our concerns and worked with our choices. We liked the clarity and ease of use of their website, the precise communication and the clean finishing touches at the end. I hired Odd Job Handyman Services to help fix several items in my condo across the kitchen, a storage cabinet, the bathroom, and the hallway entrance. In the bathroom, I needed help repairing chipped paint, fixing a pot light bulb that was not sitting properly in the shower, and adding missing caulking near the metal trims to create a cleaner finish. In the storage cabinet, the gas struts had been installed incorrectly, which caused the top joint to bend when closing and prevented the cabinet from shutting properly. I needed a more durable set of gas struts with the same clean aesthetic, installed in the correct position so the cabinet would open and close smoothly. In the kitchen, the caulking around the granite countertop needed to be redone, and a utensils cabinet would drop when closing the drawer. At the hallway entrance, the caulking had been poorly cut by an HVAC technician during a fan coil unit inspection and filter replacement while I was not home. Stephen arrived on time for the initial consultation visit. He carefully listened to my concerns, took photos, measurements, and notes. Throughout the visit he was friendly, easy to talk to, and patient in answering my questions while offering helpful advice. Within a week I scheduled the official visit. Stephen arrived within the expected time window with the pot light bulb and gas struts already sourced. I have had many bad experiences with contractors arriving far earlier or later than scheduled, so I really appreciated his punctuality and professionalism. The company’s online system also sent a text notification when Stephen was on the way along with the estimated arrival time, which is rare in the handyman industry. During the first visit, Stephen addressed most of the issues. Although he identified the correct bulb type, the base turned out to be incorrect, and the gas struts sourced still bent too easily. Instead of charging extra for materials, labor, or another truck fee, he quickly sourced a replacement bulb from a nearby hardware store and offered to return with stronger gas struts at no additional cost. On the second visit, he resolved the remaining items in about 30 minutes and made sure everything worked properly before leaving. I consider myself a very detail oriented and hard to impress person, but Stephen truly set the gold standard for what a great handyman service should be. I highly recommend Stephen and Odd Job Handyman Services if you are looking for professionals who care about doing the job right, are punctual, stay on budget, and are insured up to $5 million for added peace of mind.

More great work from Odd Job, thank you Stephen. You installed a Ring security light at exactly the height I needed and with very careful attention paid to the brick wall. You patched the drywall behind a toilet and left the area clean and ready for paint, exactly as I asked. Then you headed outside to fix my side-gate latch (it finally locks properly!); climb a ladder to clean out the 2nd floor dryer vent; and patch a large hole in a garage (not a structural fix, I just wanted to close off access to vermin). All that and you came on time, worked fast and answered all my questions. Will definitely be calling Odd Job again.

Really like working with Robyn, Justin, Geoff, Stephen, Andreka, and the rest of the Odd Job team! We’ve worked with them on numerous occasions, with the projects ranging from drywall repair, TV mounting, caulking stairs, adding trim all around our basement, replacing weather stripping on our door, to moving a big sectional couch from our basement, updating our doorknobs and deadbolts, replacing a pipe in our kitchen sink, adding new lighting to our front porch, building custom window screens for our bathroom and mudroom, trimming a laundry room door, and building a custom door for our storage space! Odd Job did a great job of demolishing and removing an old rotting, termite-eaten door frame, fixing the vapor barrier underneath the frame, rebuilding the frame and installing the door, in honestly a rather wonky basement entrance-way. They also changed the way the door functioned to make sure everything was up to code (solid door, opening outward). Another thing I appreciated was they did some prep work at their workshop so my day didn't have to be interrupted by a follow-up visit. I can't stress enough how friendly, organized, prompt, punctual and efficient these guys are, and the workmanship is great as well. Top marks in all areas, really. This is the 2nd time I've called them and I would call them again for sure.
