We hired Odd Jobs to replace our bathtub and surrounding walls in an old house, which had multiple issues, and to add grab bars, new faucets, curtain rod. The quote was clear and upfront about costs and timing, as was the schedule. They were punctual, professional, cleaned up the worksite every day and disposed of trash. They were excellent communicators, doing what they said they would do. They also listened to our concerns and worked with our choices. We liked the clarity and ease of use of their website, the precise communication and the clean finishing touches at the end. For instance, they ensured the surround [marbled] pattern carried seamlessly from panel to panel, without our input. We would certainly hire them again if another job arose.
Response from the owner:Hi, David. We appreciate the kind words and are glad we could provide you with a positive experience!

I hired Odd Job Handyman Services to help fix several items in my condo across the kitchen, a storage cabinet, the bathroom, and the hallway entrance. In the bathroom, I needed help repairing chipped paint, fixing a pot light bulb that was not sitting properly in the shower, and adding missing caulking near the metal trims to create a cleaner finish. In the storage cabinet, the gas struts had been installed incorrectly, which caused the top joint to bend when closing and prevented the cabinet from shutting properly. I needed a more durable set of gas struts with the same clean aesthetic, installed in the correct position so the cabinet would open and close smoothly. In the kitchen, the caulking around the granite countertop needed to be redone, and a utensils cabinet would drop when closing the drawer. At the hallway entrance, the caulking had been poorly cut by an HVAC technician during a fan coil unit inspection and filter replacement while I was not home. Stephen arrived on time for the initial consultation visit. He carefully listened to my concerns, took photos, measurements, and notes. Throughout the visit he was friendly, easy to talk to, and patient in answering my questions while offering helpful advice. Within a week I scheduled the official visit. Stephen arrived within the expected time window with the pot light bulb and gas struts already sourced. I have had many bad experiences with contractors arriving far earlier or later than scheduled, so I really appreciated his punctuality and professionalism. The company’s online system also sent a text notification when Stephen was on the way along with the estimated arrival time, which is rare in the handyman industry. During the first visit, Stephen addressed most of the issues. Although he identified the correct bulb type, the base turned out to be incorrect, and the gas struts sourced still bent too easily. Instead of charging extra for materials, labor, or another truck fee, he quickly sourced a replacement bulb from a nearby hardware store and offered to return with stronger gas struts at no additional cost. On the second visit, he resolved the remaining items in about 30 minutes and made sure everything worked properly before leaving. I consider myself a very detail oriented and hard to impress person, but Stephen truly set the gold standard for what a great handyman service should be. I highly recommend Stephen and Odd Job Handyman Services if you are looking for professionals who care about doing the job right, are punctual, stay on budget, and are insured up to $5 million for added peace of mind.
Response from the owner:Thank you so much for your thoughtful review and for trusting ODDJOB.CA with the repairs in your condo. We are glad Stephen made the process smooth, professional, and thorough from the first visit to the final touch-ups. Punctuality, clear communication, and doing the job right matter to us, so your feedback means a lot. We also appreciate your patience when two of the original materials needed a better solution. We are happy Stephen was able to return and complete everything properly. Your recommendation means a great deal to our team, especially coming from someone with such a sharp eye for detail. Thank you again for choosing ODDJOB.CA. Here is an even shorter version: Thank you for the detailed and thoughtful review. We are so pleased Stephen provided the level of care, professionalism, and follow-through you were looking for. Your kind words about his punctuality, communication, and attention to detail mean a lot to our team. Thank you again for choosing ODDJOB.CA and for your recommendation

Service Overview

Sliding closet doors are simple systems, but they only work well when three things are working together: the track, the rollers, and the guides. When one piece wears out or shifts, the door starts to drag, wobble, or pop off.

If you’re searching “sliding closet door repair near me,” it usually means you want one thing: the door to glide properly again—quietly, safely, and without needing a second attempt.

What Usually Goes Wrong (And How We Fix It)

The door keeps coming off the track
What’s going wrong: worn rollers, missing guides, misalignment, or a track that’s shifted.
How we fix it: we reset the door properly, inspect the rollers and guides, adjust alignment and height, and make sure it stays on track.

The track is bent, loose, or worn down
What’s going wrong: tracks get clogged with debris, screws loosen, sections bend, and grooves wear over time.
How we fix it: repair sliding closet door track by cleaning, re-securing, straightening where possible, and replacing damaged sections when needed.

It sticks, scrapes, or sounds like it’s grinding
What’s going wrong: rollers flatten, guides drift, and the door sits unevenly.
How we fix it: sliding closet door track repair plus roller/guide replacement (as needed), then fine adjustments so the door slides smoothly end-to-end.

Mirrored or glass panels feel heavy, shaky, or unsafe
What’s going wrong: roller wear and alignment issues make panels shift or bind especially noticeable with heavier doors.
How we fix it: sliding mirror closet door repair and sliding glass closet door repair with careful handling, stable alignment, and controlled movement you can trust.

What’s Included in Professional Sliding Closet Door Repair

Depending on what your door needs, we may:

  • Clean and realign the track
  • Re-secure loose track sections and hardware
  • Replace worn rollers, bottom guides, stops, and small components
  • Correct door height, level, and spacing so it stops rubbing
  • Reset off-track doors and address the cause (not just the symptom)
  • Advise when closet door installation is the smarter option (only when repair truly isn’t worth it)

This is careful, detailed work especially with mirrored doors so your closet door feels normal again.

Yes. For most sliding closet door repair jobs, we can supply common parts such as rollers, guides, and track components. If your repair involves sliding closet door track repair or a specific mirror or glass panel system, we’ll let you know what’s needed before the work begins.

Can you repair a sliding mirror closet door that keeps coming off the track?

Yes. Sliding mirror closet door repair often involves more than simply putting the door back in place. If the problem keeps happening, we inspect the rollers, guides, and alignment, then complete the necessary sliding closet door off track repair so the door stays secure and moves properly.

When is sliding closet door track repair better than full replacement?

In many cases, repair sliding closet door track work is enough if the track is loose, slightly bent, dirty, or worn in isolated sections. If the damage is more severe, we’ll tell you honestly whether sliding closet door track repair makes sense or whether replacement or closet door installation would be the better long-term option.
