My experience with Odd Job Handyman was outstanding in every way. I had two distinct jobs to be done: one replacing rotting boards on my deck and another fixing a wonky door in my basement shower that initially looked as if the bulkhead the shower was anchored to would have to be removed. Stephen arrived on a rainy day, evaluated the projects and offered me a reasonable estimate, explaining why the job was not going to be as easy as my photographs suggested. He returned with Angelo and they did a spectacular job with both projects, even coming up with a solution to the bathroom shower that would save me money. They explained every issue that arose in language a non-handy person like myself could understand, they pointed out problems, like ants in the deck and how to address it, and even carried my very heavy planters. They could not have been nicer or more professional and, as my partner said, “We have found a winner in Odd Job Handyman.” I will contact them again without hesitation.

Odd job came and installed new shut off valves and a bathroom faucet. Although it was ikea it still involved some pipe cutting which I wasn’t excited to do myself. They did a great job. Showed up on time, finished pretty quickly! The process was easy. And I didn’t get any sudden catastrophes or surprises that jacked the quote up.

He arrived right on time and completed the job in a timely manner. The charge for this service was very reasonable. Another company wanted almost the same rate for just the a/c unit removal. Odd Job did a great job of demolishing and removing an old rotting, termite-eaten door frame, fixing the vapor barrier underneath the frame, rebuilding the frame and installing the door, in honestly a rather wonky basement entrance-way. They also changed the way the door functioned to make sure everything was up to code (solid door, opening outward).

Another thing I appreciated was they did some prep work at their workshop so my day didn't have to be interrupted by a follow-up visit.

I can't stress enough how friendly, organized, prompt, punctual and efficient these guys are, and the workmanship is great as well. Top marks in all areas, really.

This is the 2nd time I've called them and I would call them again for sure.

How long do the subscription plans last?

Subscription plans last for one year from the date of the first visit.

How long does the visit last?

Each visit is approx. 1 – 5 hours long based on package.

Who conducts my visits?

We have a team of skilled technicians who conduct the visits.

Do I need to be home for my appointment?

You do not need to be home during your maintenance appointment. In fact, roughly 70% of our customers provide us with keys or garage codes so that we can get in when they are not home. This allows us to deal with problems without disrupting your busy schedule. Just think: no more waiting around during a four hour window for help to arrive

Who do I call if I have a question or problem?

Each customer is assigned to a project manager at the outset of their contract. Your PM is responsible for managing all of the work done in your home by our technicians and our service partners. Your home manager handles scheduling, estimating and quality assurance and also manages your ongoing list of work to be done in your home.

How do I pay for the service?

We send out invoices via email within a few days of each visit. You can pay by check, e‑transfer, or credit card.

What if I decide after a few months that the service is not for me? Am I stuck for the rest of the year?

While we are confident that you will love the service, we understand that life happens and that you might need to terminate the service before the contract is up. While we will be sorry to see you go, we certainly will not hold you to the contract if the service no longer works for you. We do ask that you give us one month’s notice of the change.
